AS OF RIGHT NOW, INFIELD, OUTFIELD AND HITTING WILL STILL TAKE PLACE AT THE SOFTBALL FIELD.

The College Coaches Skills Camp will be held on Sunday, November 12th, 2017 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, Massachusetts.

The Pitching / Catching Session will run from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

The Infield / Outfield Session will run from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

The Hitting Session will run from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

All campers will receive a Division I quality, moisture wicking men's t-shirt at check-in to wear during camp and take home.

All campers and their parents from every session should attend the Discussion  on College Athletics held at 11:00 AM.

Each Session will consist of instruction in the following areas; Skill work, Strength work, Mental training, and education about college athletics. All skill work is in small groups and one-on-one and will be age specific. The cost of the camp will be $175 for one session, $275 for two sessions or $325 for three sessions. Space is limited. These sessions are expected to fill quickly.

A typical camp is limited to 48 Pitchers, 20 Catchers, 40 Infielders, 20 Outfielders and 64 Hitters. Our goal for a player-to-coach ratio is 6:1 but will not exceed 8:1.

WHAT TO BRING
All campers need to bring athletic tennis shoes and softball cleats in addition to softball equipment they use for a practice and game.

PITCHING / CATCHING SESSION → 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
This session will include advanced instruction and problem solving on all aspects of pitching including mechanics, pitch variation, delivery tempo, and adjustments to improve command. We will work via lecture and drills throughout the course of the sessions. The catching segment will cover various drills for receiving, blocking and throwing footwork. During the skill sessions, pitchers will be divided into small groups, with all bullpen work being done one-on-one with the various coaches. Catchers will work in small groups with one-on-one instruction on drill work and live bullpen work. All players will be placed in small groups with other participants of similar age. **Pitchers will pitch to catchers signed up for the event. If you want to throw to your own catcher then they too must register for camp.**

INFIELD / OUTFIELD SESSION → 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
This session will focus on sound fundamental techniques of infield play via lecture, footwork drills, throwing drills, hands / glove development and proper positioning. Each infielder will work individually in the "field" with the members of our coaching staff. Infielders will be divided into groups by age and will receive many repetitions. All players will be placed in small groups with other participants of similar age. The last hour of Flexibility, Strength, and Conditioning Session will be run with the Hitting Session. If a player is registered for both Infield / Outfield and Hitting they will only go through this segment once.

HITTING SESSION → 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
This session will focus on sound fundamental techniques of hitting via lecture, tee work, dry swing breakdown, side toss, and live hitting in the cage. Each hitter will work individually in the cages with the members of our coaching staff. Hitters will be divided into groups by age and will receive many swings. All players will be placed in small groups with other participants of similar age. The first hour of Flexibility, Strength, and Conditioning Session will be run with the Infield /Outfield Session. If a player is registered for both Infield and Hitting they will only go through this segment once.

11:00 AM → Discussion on College Athletics
Players Can Eat Lunch (NOT PROVIDED) During This Discussion

INFIELDERS / OUTFIELDERS → 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
12:00 PM → Infield Drills / Outfield Drills - Footwork, Skill Development
1:00 PM → Infield Drills / Outfield Drills - Throwing Efficiency, Direction & Evaluation
2:00 PM → Flexibility, Strength & Conditioning**

HITTING → 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
2:00 PM → Flexibility, Strength & Conditioning**
3:00 PM → Hitting Skill Session
4:00 PM → Hitting Lecture & Hitting Drills
5:00 PM → Final Comments, Dismissal

**Infielders, Outfielders, & Hitters will all take part in the same Flexibility, Strength & Conditioning segment. This is done to avoid duplication of the activity.
